Bavaria 46 Cruiser – 2008 – VAT paidPrivately owned from new with only 1400 hoursThis is a great opportunity to become part of a new syndicate to share in this extremely nice and well specified yacht. I have priced each share very reasonably for such a quality yacht. The shareholding is ideally intended to commence for the 2019 season – but anyone wishing to partake immediately can do so after agreeing terms for 2018. The idea of posting the advertisement now, gives any prospective shareholder the advantage of visiting the boat during the 2018 season to appraise her. Prospective share holders are expected to have a high regard for maintenance, betterment and attention to detail – as well as being competent skippers. I will, of course, be retaining one of the shares.Currently the cost of dry docking the yacht at a reputable yard for 6 months of the year, runs at around €2,500. I would expect the yearly input of each shareholder to be around £2,500 – which is incredible value for money for approximately 7 weeks sailing (or more if you enjoy early April or late October cruising)Before I list the very extensive inventory of this yacht – I would like to give a brief history of my involvement. I purchased her in 2015 in Felixstowe, England. She had not been a charter vessel and had only 500 hours on her engine. Myself and my wife then prepared her in early in 2016 and sailed her down to Preveza in Greece. During 2016 we sailed her around the Ionian and then wintered her on the hard at Cleopatra boat yard, Preveza.During the 2017 season we sailed her down the Ionian, around much of the Peloponnese, Kythera, Crete, Rhodes, Kos and many other islands around the Cyclades – visiting Turkey en route. We then headed up to Aegina near Athens and have wintered her on the hard at Planaco on Aegina island – where she currently lies until we return to launch in mid May 2018.Having moved up from the Bavaria 40 – we still find this superb roomy boat very manageable for the two of us.It had certainly not been our intention to offer the boat for shares – but we have realised that we can only do so many weeks each year! Having previously been a shareholder in a Bavaria 40 based in Greece – I have plenty of experience in sharing and found it to be a very satisfying experience. The yacht is currently in the Saronic Gulf of Greece and it is our intention to sail this area plus the Cyclades islands and some of Turkey again this year. With regard to future bases/sailing areas – we are totally open minded to most Mediterranean bases which would be agreed between future shareholders.OK – now on to the specification :-Manufactured 2008. 3 cabin version with huge forward cabin which has separate very spacious shower room and heads.
