A fantastic project.Southerly 115, built in 1981/82. She’s hull number 1 of the class, with a lifting keel, which raises all the way into the boat, allowing you to sit flat on the mud/at anchor with no heeling. Perfect for exploring tiny tidal creeks and places that most people can’t get to. Max draft .70m keel up, 2.0m keel down. Yanmar 36hp.She’s a centre cockpit, with a separate double back cabin, U-shaped central seating saloon area, and a 2-berth cabin at the front, 3 extra berths in saloon. One bathroom with pump head. 12v fridge, gas cooker and ice box in galley. We did some serious work on her about 8 years ago, including taking the keel and keel plate out completely and having all the moving parts refurbished, and the bottom grp stripped off and re-coated from scratch. She has not been out of the water for approx. 5 years. We got part-way through refurbing her, so a lot of jobs remain half finished. The woodwork inside is of a really high quality (custom built by a cabinet-maker) but the finishes need some care. Sails will need replacing.Lots of extra equipment, high quality but quite dated, including Raymarine nav gear and radio, self-inflating life raft. The rear hull scoop was fitted by Southerly/Northshore, and is an unusual design feature on the 115 – great for access from the pontoon or when playing in the water. She makes a perfect live-aboard, huge amount of interior space, very roomy and comfortable with great deep-keel performance as a cruiser. She needs quite a bit of work, but has a lot of potential – an absolute bargain if you have a bit of time to spend on her. We’re selling due to a new baby and relocation due to work.
