For Sale: 1960 Albatross A-series Classic Skiboat – A Piece of Nautical History!
Ahoy, boating enthusiasts! Here’s your chance to own a 1960 Albatross A-series skiboat, hull number A-16. This beauty is almost ready to hit the water but needs a bit of finishing.
All the hard graft has been done – the hull has been bare metalled, etch primed, and sprayed in its original colour. The interior is excellent and unused, with all loose rivets replaced. Below waterline and insides kept bare as per factory.
She’s got all her steering gear with the correct wheel, propshaft, and 2-blade propeller. Most dials for the dashboard are present and in good nick. Mechanically, you’ll need to complete her. Parts included with climax engine: the correct fuel tank, water header, cooling pump, battery tray, and an Albatross inlet and exhaust manifold.
The Coventry Climax FWB engine has been stripped and cleaned but needs some slight tweaks. Comes with extra engine parts and fittings.
She’s currently in Devon, on a modern galvanised road trailer ready to go
