Alloy hulled boat Made by A E Freezer on Hayling IslandThey made aluminium and alloy boats, often for racing, there is some archive material online.Great to have alloy for a hull for easy careIt has lovely fast linesIt has been stored undercover for the last 16 years (and probably before that)This boat could be put on the water with minimum workBut it would be a fantastic small project to bring it back to gloryLength 426 cm (14ft)Width 162 cmTransom depth at attachment point 40 cm4 seats on 2 bench seats in good condition, one small tear on the seam of oneI’m no expert but I will give my thoughts on her condition here :The boatTo get her on the water she needs :An outboardProbably a new control cable or two (sheath is frayed)A drainage bungTo make her glorious again she probably needs :A mighty good cleanA new wood strip on the deck above the bowStrip and paint the transom. It feels solid but some may want to swap it out.Hull paintNew cables from controls to outboardI would change the steering wheel or if wanting to keep it true then find a nice centre for itA mend on the 6 inch split in the tonneau coverThe trailerTo be honest the road trailer probably needs more work than the boatNeeds a new jockey wheelThe wheels don’t hold air for long, I would put on new tyres and tubesThe wheel bearings are greased and I can’t feel any movement but hard to truly know.The tow hitch feels solid and functionalI would strip the metalwork down and paintAlso has a tonneau cover (with a 6 inch split in it)And 2 folding anchorsAnd 2 fendersThere is an inline petrol tank behind the back seatPayment by bank transfer or cashCollection onlyOnce payment is received I am happy for you to come and take the wheels away for mending so that it can be towed away at a later date.Alternatively I reckon it could be piggybacked on a 12 ft flatbed trailer (maybe 10ft at a push)Happy for inspection visitsLet me know if you have any questions or want to see more specific photos
