17′ Broom speed boat with inboard Mercruiser 140 (3.0L) engine. Hull is good with a few blemishes but structurally sound. Interior vinyl is ok and very classic which is one of the things I loved about this boat.I bought this boat as a running project but as I stripped back the engine I found it was more than I can manage. I have all the parts I took off stored and labelled. The power tilt and trim was in working order but I have removed the two rams to refurbish the seals, again these are stored and labelled. Trailer is ok, I have replaced the damper on the hitch. The rear swinging arm has a bit of rust and will need replacing before too long.

Riser is not great, no holes but the anode had all gone and I personally wouldn’t use it. The manifold isn’t so bad actually, but I’m my mind if I was putting a lot into the engine I would be tempted to replace it. The main things that need sorting are the sump, which has a rusted flange, fuel pump which is non functioning, and thermostat housing which is poor internally. I have not had the head or oil pan off to look inside but it was running before I started taking bits off.
