70’s Classic Broom Scorpio! 16′ (4.8m) with almost new Tohatsu 15hp, 4 stroke engine that we completely refurbished with a full body shop respray in Porsche purple and fitted out with a new bespoke interior (padding and other internal details now need some TLC – refer detail in photos). She still had her original 2 stroke, 70hp Evinrude (fun but with only two speeds – 0 or 30mph!) until 2014 when we had the new engine fitted and trailer refurbished (including mini 10″ Rostyle wheels).The (electric or pull start) 4 stroke is perfect for river use and has been serviced twice and winterised only by a Tohatsu dealer. Due to our having been busy she’s had very little use (probably less than 100 hours) and we’ve always had her winterised before putting her away for the winter in a garage (wrapped up and on axle stands).The speedo works (at above about 10mph) but the rev. counter has not been connected (it may be possible but isn’t really important on the upper Thames). She has a fish finder, map reading light and 12V socket for phone charging. The trailer has a spare wheel (with unused tyre) which is included but the purchaser will have to provide a battery, ropes, fenders, tie-down straps, trailerboard, etc. as these are needed. The engine has its original Tohatsu supplied fuel tank and her bottom’s just been (fresh water) anti-fouled ready for the new season.She LOOKS LIKE A CLASSIC but is contemporary with her new (very economical) 4 stroke engine and an interior intended to be easy to maintain with two swivel chairs & their bases which can be used as a flat bed … if an occasional, spontaneous overnight camping situation should arise…!PLEASE NOTE SHE IS ADVERTISED ELSEWHERE.
