1963 Danvercraft classic 13-foot speedboat. Very rare,
thought to be one of only three now in existence. A stunning example
beautifully restored. Powered by a fully restored and serviced1963 Mercury 350
(35HP) electric start, 2 stroke outboard making a stunning boat and engine package.
Fibreglass hull with teak decking. Four seats with striking red & white upholstery, bench rear seat & bucket/tub front seats.
Chrome navigation light, chrome deck spotlight, interior cabin and instrument
lighting, electric horn. Original restored steering wheel. Correct period mounted compass. Wired for aux 12v battery, glovebox 12v USB power
output. Fire extinguishers mounted front and rear. Emergency lifebelt and line.
Outboard fully & professionally serviced two years ago
(only 50 hours of freshwater use since), fantastic compression ratios were
recorded at that time (can’t remember the exact numbers but well balanced and
extremely impressive), Electric start, runs
beautifully.
The hull is sound but does show signs of some pitting in
areas on the hull underside (surface only, see pictures), very solid though with no blisters or rot.
Fixed fuel tank with deck fill cap and dash mounted fuel
gauge.
SBS R2-500B trailer with new tyres, spare wheel, winch, electrics and numberplate
board included.
Fresh water use only and dry stored. Currently stored in my garage so unable to take running engine video – the engine will be demonstrated to the successful bidder before financial completion.
Rainproof boat cover, prop cover, colour matched fenders, front and rear pennants and
mooring lines included.
The boat is 60 years old so as you would expect it’s in a vintage/classic condition – not perfect but amazing for it’s age.
A stunning period speedboat that receives great attention
wherever she is. Ready to tow and ready to go!
