Early 70s Classic Offshore Speedboat, originally used for ski racing. Believed one of 2 Sharp 16s. 16ft 2ins length over deck, ca. 6ft beam at it’s widest. Similar in size to the Marshan 162 hull. Currently it is a project with a stripped interior for restoration. Hull and sides water-tight and in good condition as far I can see. Deck gelcoat has extensive cracks, pits and chips from poor moulding and weathering. Needs stripping back to fibres, dried out and re-gelcoated. Transom appears completely sound, but the floor on one side is delaminated from the internal mould. Trailer is the original and very solidly built for the boat, but it needs renovation. Tyres, bearings and suspension units were newly replaced by the previous owner – I had it transported, so buyer would need to evaluate. Original motor was equivalent in weight to the 75hp OMC 3 cylinder longshaft, I had plans to fit a 75/90hp Yamaha to make a fast rough-water sea boat. Gibson trim tabs not included.
