Dell Quay Dory 13ft with Honda 25HP (2003), Extreme trailer & cover
– Purchased on eBay 4 years ago, but hardly used hence the sale. Stored out of the water for the past couple of years.
– To manage expectations please note this isn’t a new boat, obviously. It has a few marks to the gelcoat and some minor repairs consummate/synonymous with a boat of its age (likely to be early 90’s). That said ‘Lazy Toad’ is in good condition. I’ve been as honest as I can below, but any questions please ask. Happy for you to come and have a look during the duration of the auction (we are in Constantine, Nr Falmouth, Cornwall)
– Please note I am relisting this (originally listed in spring ‘24). Sorry, but I cannot store the boat for more than 2 weeks until you are ready to collect.
Boat:
– Two flip up bolster seats and bench seat (with storage underneath). The seats and the cuddy are sapele wood. The straps to secure the seats to the poppers are missing (I cut them off as they were annoying).
– Included is the flip over ladder (which I installed for swimming) and battery box etc.
– Ultraflex steering and steering cable, which I replaced two years ago
– Two new coats of antifouling (applied in September ‘24). There are some minor repairs to the hull (including a couple I made myself with the WEST system incl. one intentional hole I made in the stern to check the hull wasn’t full of water. The boat is completely seaworthy. The most obvious visual repair is to the bow which, whilst not the same colour as the gelcoat, is a good repair (see photo).
Honda BF25D outboard:
– Long shaft
– Year of manufacture: 2003
– Last serviced in early summer 2021 by Andrew Cox Marine at Gweek Classic Boatyard
– Last fired up on 5th August ’24 before summer hols abroad (link to movie clip below). Starts and idles well however it will definitely need a service before putting the boat back in the water as I’ve not revved it up since it’s been out the water. No fuel has been stored in the system, and it was washed out with fresh water when I took it out.
– Some scuffs to the cowl/hood, but nothing significant. The paint on the cover/vent on the top of the cowl/hood has faded and this was once repaired internally with fibreglass (see photos).

Trailer:
– ‘Extreme’ trailer with heavy duty keel rollers, winch and jockey wheel.
– Galvanised frame
– Year of manufacture: 2009
– Standard wear and tear. There is a little paint on the rollers and frame (from anti-fouling) and a crack in the top of one of the plastic mudguards (see photos).
– Reconditioned recently (July 2023) with new wheel bearings (and assoc.).
– Tyres are in good conditions with 5mm+ tread.
– New winch fitted 3 years ago.
Pick Up:
– Pick up only from Constantine, Falmouth (TR11 5AH)
