Due to an unexpected loss of storage space and divorce, I am in the process of disposing of a large number of my toys – namely vehicles (cars, bikes, boats) and other collectable possessions. This auction is for ‘HALEY’ – tiny, gorgeous lines, rapid… google Haley Cope – you’re welcome ;)She has been out on the Solent a few times this summer, including the Cowes Week, and proved her self absolutely amazing (as ever). She did door-to-door from HMS EXCELLENT to the Cowes Admiralty mooring in about 30mins on 1/2-2/3 throttle, with 2 adults and two kids onboard, using only about 2/3 of a 5gal tank. All four of us had ear-to-ear grins – she really is an amazing boat. HullShe’s a rare, high-performance Driver 500!!! The bottom has been anti-fouled, but it could probably do with a re-coat at some stage at the end of this season. She’s fitted with a robust ski/tow bar, which we had used a god few times last year at our compound (I work out of Horsea Island, near Port Solent – 1000m long artificial lake, former torpedo testing facility). Seats are in good condition, with some of the stitching giving way, the gauges are present and most working (some aren’t connected), the steering/controls are light and working fine. She’s carpeted throughout. EngineThere is NO engine included – auction is for the Boat/Hull (with custom-made cover) and the awesome trailer only. The engine and controls have been sold separately. It does come with the steering system, gauges etc. Trailer It is a high quality, heavy duty and fully galvanised one – it could actually take a far longer boat, so Haley’s light weight and size is not even noticeable on it. The bearings/brakes have been recently checked over – it will tow anywhere in the country you wish to go. The only disappointing thing is that somebody else on the island decided they wanted the spare wheel. I will try and locate another, but as it stands she’s being auctioned off without one. You will need your own light board only – she comes strapped down, ready to tow… AccessoriesShe comes with both keys and also has a custom made, heavy duty cover as per the pics. There is no exception to this – apologies to all other good folks out there, but I have been messed around chronically of late and simply don’t have the time for it. SummaryHaley is a pre-loved, older style speed/ski boat, but has a lot of life an fun and left in her – SHE JUST NEEDS A NEW ENGINE! She will likely have a few minor blemishes, which are all down to the eye of the beholder, but overall in commendable condition and credit to all her previous owners… she is good to go and play with! 😉 I am a friendly, honest and straightforward bloke. The lucky new owner will be hosted with brews/biscuits until they develop Type 2 diabetes if they wish. I have described her to the best of my ability – however should I have missed something vital/important, I am happy to discuss it over the aforementioned brews/bikkies like gentlemen.
