1993 Fletcher 17 GTS with 3.0L Mercruiser with alpha one leg.
it is in great condition for year. The interior is still original with no rips or tears to seats. The drivers and passenger seats fold out to sun loungers. The engine runs superb and starts on the button and out drive works perfectly. All the gauges work perfectly as do horn, nav lights, blower, and bilge pump. Power tilt and trim work fine on the button and gauge. It is in original gel coat which polishes up great.There are a few marks but hardly noticeable.
It has had thousands spent on it by previous owner who was older which i have all receipts. It has had new transom shield, sump, gimble bearings, bellows, impellor, starter motor and alternator etc. It hadn’t been used for nearly a couple of years which is why they sold it.
New marine bluetooth radio with fitted new waterproof speakers so sounds good. Fitted a bimini top which keeps the sun off and you can still walk around. Also have fitted fitted new smart trim tabs which are hydraulic and make a lot of difference getting it quicker on the plane and better fuel consumption if 4 people are onboard. The boat flies along and capable of 45 mph and could easily pull skiers or wake boards.
The trailer is made for the boat and in excellent condition with new winch. Wheels and tyres where replaced a few years ago and it has had a new axle in 2013. The brakes do work on trailer and have this week fitted new wheel bearings to it. It is simple to launch and retrieve single handed.This year its had replaced the exhaust manifold and riser as was still original and for piece of mind. Fitted new water/fuel separator filter, changed engine oil and filter, fitted new spark plugs, cleaned carburettor and changed filter.
The boat still has boat safety certificate which expires september 2022. The previous owner used it mainly on the Thames so had to have safety certificate and also mainly run on fresh water.
The summer cover is ok and does the job but could do with a new one as stretched a bit.
Boat has been used over the last Month whilst on holiday and has never missed a beat, it is a credit to the previous owners and is a turn key ready to use boat. You won’t find a better condition like for like aged boat.
