Up for sale is my rather stunning, 1990 Four Winns Sundower 205, “Powertech II” aka the Banana Boat was originally built for the importers to display at the Southampton boat show. She has always been dry stored her entire life only occasionally being Marina’d for a week or so in the holiday season. Thoroughly maintained & used throughout the season on a very regular basis, a good thing for a boat!. Mostly used around Poole Harbour & the Jurassic coast for chilling out on, watching the sunsets etc. We have also taken her for weekends to Chichester Harbour, Exmouth & as far as Bembridge over the years. She is a fast boat 260bhp from the factory, if you wish she does 45-50mph if the water is flat enough depending on load, great for water skiing. However most of the time we cruise around the harbour with its 8 knot limit or cruise down the coast at a 25-30mph and at these speeds has a safe range of 150m plus, sufficient range to do Poole to Cowes on the IOW & back. She gets on the plane at about 16mph. There is also a mounting for a small outboard, handy for docking or finding the shallow spots to anchor up.With a deep V hull (unlike most US boats) she handles rougher conditions well if necessary, a great safe handling boat all round & handles much like my old Rib. She is very dry onboard so family friendly. Seating for six but really comfy for 4, the main middle 4 seats fold into sun loungers. The gel coat is all original & she polishes up beautifully, I can never decide if its orange or yellow! Interior is mostly original apart from new carpets on the floor, the seats are slightly tired but it all works as it should. The bilges/engine bay are clean & always dry. The hull & structure is in excellent shape. The original camper top is in two sections, the front half with bimini frame is popper’ed on & we almost always use it up to keep you sheltered from the sun. The rear half is zippered & popper’ed on & ideal for camp overs or if the weather turns a bit rough. She also has opening glass quarter lights & the centre of the screen opens up for front deck access. There is a 2 berth cuddy cabin, with tinted windows, opening port window/access hatch, cushions, storage areas, a portaloo, large starter battery & power kill switch mounted under below.5.7 V8 GM OMC Cobra with a 4 Barrel Holley carb, a simple clockwork GM engine that’s easy to work on & maintain with excellent access. Watercooled exhaust system. Outdrive is the OMC unit a robust drive unit if well maintained, its easy enough to do basic maintenance on. Fitted with a high quality SS prop & comes with a spare ally prop (better for skiing with). Every year at the start of the season she gets a new raw water coolant pump & seals (10 min job) an oil change, fuel & oil filters, all simple to do & at hand. Had a new gimball bearing this year, engine water pump last year. She has been winterised at every season end & is always freshwater flushed & washed down after every use.Extensive history/service file/receipts for parts etcElectric trim/Tilt for the outdrive & power steeringThis year model has the rear swim platform which is brilliant for swim days.SS Folding Boarding LadderOutboard Mount Bracket (4 or 10hp outboards available to purchase if required)Ski Tow Hook & a new ski line included, will throw in skis if you want them120L Fuel tank centrally mounted below the floor, fuel filler at rear.Bimini/Suntop & pop on side windows all originalCamper top with windows all originalTransport/mooring cover heavy duty originalWinter mooring full cover heavy duty originalElasticated all over cover to keep the dust off in the barn.Depth/water temp/fish finder unit LCD display.Has an original depth gauge but I cant suss the alarm function so its unplugged & we use the LCD one.Speedo, volts, oil pressure, fuel, tacho gauges all FW originalsVHF Radio with fold down whip Aerial, plus handheld VHF RadioFull suite of nylon 3 strand mooring linesLarge anchor on chain & line in front anchor lockerSecondary launching anchor (used for slipway launching)6 Fenders for docking or rafting up.Original bilge pump & newer secondary bilge pumpNew engine bay ducting fan last yearEngine bay automatic fire extinguisher new last year & 2x handheld in cabinCuddy LED lightingFront cuddy cabin opening hatchNav & anchor lights with led bulbsSpare trailer tyreFlush muffs etc.Original horn (has stopped working think its the button switch will have a look)Kill switch & lineSpare hull bung & fuses, belts etcSet of four yellow buoyancy aidsFull workshop manual & any spares I have & odds bits includedTrailer: A US heavy duty 4 wheel bunked/ramped aluminium trailer. Fitted with UK spec brakes, we kept the better bigger US spec hubs & axles with sealed grease ports, all new SS cables last month. Knott 2.5 ton brake unit & a new this year jockey wheel. New tyres last year. Really easy to launch & recover from with the bunks I usually do this single handed. All up weight is circa 2200kg I have a weighbridge printout. Tows brilliantly behind my van or Landcruiser, it has proper suspension too! bear in mind it is a big & wide unit to tow. She is a classic so does require the odd bit of fettling but essentially a lovely tidy, very usable boat that gets a lot of admiration, it all works as it should & is very seaworthy. A lovely V8 & used sensibly a full tank gets us 6 or 7 days on the water more if pottering about. Diy maintenance is inexpensive & a simple job, service parts are all readily available, one day a year does all the annual work needed. I will be sad to see her go but a large cruising yacht is on the cards. She is currently sat on her trailer in her barn ready to be used with half a tank of fuel any day the weather & tide coincide with my days off. Viewing is possible in N Dorset & a sea trial is welcome in Poole subject to weather/tide etc. I’d be than happy to offer a handover too. I would also be happy to deliver her for fuel costs within reason.2014 my brother made a tongue in cheek video but it gives you an idea of what she is like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=co3bkEbDzxcAny questions 07970642129 Declan
