Im selling this speedboat for my uncle. Hes owned it about 3 years and its been good fun.Due to change of circumstances and a new small car with no towbar hes decided its time to sell it.I will give a totally honest description of the boat and will do my best to answer any questions. I have been out on the boat and was surprised how easy it was to use. It had a lovely smooth ride and had plenty of power. The boat is 15.5 foot long with a johnson 50, 2 stroke outboard motor with twin carbs and electric start. It also has an electric tilt/trim which is a nice feature.A new bilge pump has just been fitted. The fuel tank is easily removed for filling up at a petrol station. We believe it was built by Roger Clark marine which was run by the well known rally driver of the 70’s and 80’s.The boat is in good condition for its age, It has been painted at some point and the finish isn’t perfect but is totally solid with no major issues and if you stand back and look at it ,It looks tidy. The front seats are on swivel bases and the rear ones are easily lifted out if you don’t need it as a 4 seater. The windscreen panels were becoming faded so have recently been replaced with new polycarbonate screens. The Outboard motor is good. Plenty of compression and has recently had some new parts and a de-coke. The trailer is good and has recently had a coat of paint, new wheel bearings, Jockey wheel and some decent tyres fitted. Trailer lights board and extension cable is included. There is also a winch fitted. The trailer has been slightly extended at the front and we had no trouble launching it using a ford mondeo without the need to put the back of the car into the water.I have checked over the whole boat and trailer prior to sale and can demonstrate it running and operating correctly by putting the outboard into a large tank of water. The only faults known are the speedo and rev counter do not work, It was like this when we bought it and iv’e since looked and the wires behind the gauges arn’t connected. We always intended to fit a gps as an easier option but just didn’t get round to it.Also im told the hydraulic part of the tilt/trim sometimes needs topping up if its used a lot. its very easy to do and there is a bottle of hydraulic fluid for this included.I havn’t got a vehicle with a towbar so regret i cant offer delivery. I do know its not heavy and very easy to tow with an average sized car.The boat is located in Eastleigh close to the m27 southampton airportYou are welcome to view by appointment. The only thing i ask is that the winning bidder contact me within 24 hours of auction ending and pay a deposit of £100. Then collection prefered within 7 days. Any questions then please ask.
