Here we have the absolutely
delightful Minerva 54 open day boat with extras of teak flooring, canopy,
infill cushions and Bimini.
The cream and beige colour scheme
works really well and particularly the hull doesn’t show the scaling from the
very hard river water. Look at any blue hulled boat on the Thames and you’ll
see the hull looks distinctly scummy from day 2.

and taken down in a jiffy so you can stop off for a picnic whenever you want,
and take it down to put back the infill for a lovely afternoon in the sun.
Mooring up in the centre of the river at regatta is a delightful experience and
you can spend all afternoon having a nice picnic and watching the rowing
closeup.
The Henley festival is fabulous
and this boat is ideal for that in that it’s small enough to be allowed into
the small boat section for free but has a canopy in case of rain. And nav
lights for getting home in the dark!
