For sale my 1994 steve baker mk2 phantom 21 class 3C powerboat, I bought this boat in the beginning of October after being sat in a barn in north wales for 5 years unused! It has a history of racing on the south coast under the name of “rough diamond”. Since buying her it’s gone under a full mechanical, electrical and plumbing restoration! She has X2 stainless fuel tanks 110L front tank and 95L rear tank, also has a front ballast tank. On the fuel side of things she’s had both tanks drained and cleaned, new fuel lines throughout with stainless steel hardware and fittings, new stainless shut off valves front and rear to run off one tank individually of both, also fitted a new water seperator primary filter which it didn’t have before.On the electrical side of things she had x2 new batteries with 1 being your main battery and the secondary battery as a back up with a link isolator. New marine batter isolators, new battery cables and wiring good for many years to come.On the mechanical side the old 1980’s 2.4L V6 Mercury Bridgeport engine was in need of a rebuild and with parts difficult to get hold of and not the best for reliability. I opted to replace the engine she now has a far newer and more reliable 2001 mercury 2.5L V6 EFI 200hp outboard with autolube system still fully operational with a main out tank situated in the boat and reserve tank on the engine. Has an offshore 20” mid section with above water exhaust, gearbox fully rebuilt within the last year and runs fantastically and surprisingly good on fuel and oil usage.The trailer has undergoes a full service with bearings greased and adjusted, new wheels and tyres all round, she tows fantastically she’s balanced perfectly. Will also come with new strongarm super heavy duty security hitch lock.The full boat cover have been recently re waterproofed and treated and is in really good condition.Overall this has turned out to be a rather lovely boat now that you could either race again with (class 3C) or just enjoy the speed and adrenaline thrill! I’ve yet the machine polish the hull but she will come up lovely and red again with the few test patches I’ve done. Only reason for sale is I’m looking to go back too a rib again so I would do a deal with a rib but must be a minimum of 6.5M and 140hp, I can deliver depending on distance, sea trials may be possible…… located burseldon Southampton, cash on collection or direct bank transfer, sold as seen no returns there is negotiations to be had!
