Rigid Raider Mk1 ex-military speedboat, Suzuki DT140 2-stroke outboard, with trailer and additional itemsSolid boat used originally by SBS Fleet Protection Group and Royal Engineers to provide a solid and reliable raiding craft, but now used in many different guises in civvy life as a dive boat, work boat, harbourmaster boat and leisure craft, to name but a few. Open deck with central helm and jockey seat to rear, using large fenders on each side to provide shock absorbing seating. Heavy duty battery for electric start, tachometer and navigation lights. Starts well, and can be seen in operation by arrangement. 30 litre fuel tank, with new line and fuel bulb. 2 ignition keys and kill switches. Hour meter showing 186.47 hrs.The boat is sitting on a Nicolson NT1500 single axle braked trailer, fully galvanised, fitted with keel rollers and 2 swinging multi-roller cradles. Separate wheel lock.Sold with folding anchor, chain and warp; 2 x 25 litre jerry cans; 2 large and 3 medium sized dry bags; 2 gas operated life jackets; ropes; rescue line; spare propeller; 2 x bottles of marine 2-stroke oil.Issues1. Cracked engine cover casing. Cosmetic only. Occurred when I tilted engine forward too far. I’ve left it for someone else to repair if they want to, rather than me making it look even worse.2. Trim/tilt switch on engine is only dropping the engine, not raising. Presumably an issue with the switch itself. Up and down operation still works from rocker switch on throttle lever.Selling this boat after many years of fun on Loch Lomond, but no longer able to tow it having sold car with towbar, and moved too far away for regular use. It’s a rugged, reliable boat, not your usual speedboat, but with a distinctive character. It can be seen in operation as a Safety Boat when I helped out with the Trossachs Search and Rescue Team covering the West Highland Way Race over a number of years, here:https://www.facebook.com/TrossachsSAR/videos/1004953689538239/https://www.facebook.com/TrossachsSAR/videos/1004950532871888/https://www.facebook.com/TrossachsSAR/videos/974743985892543/Viewing and inspection welcomed. 10% deposit (of successful bid) payable via bank transfer within 24 hours of successful bid, remainder to be paid by same method prior to uplift.
