14 foot Shakespeare SpeedboatBeen stood many years and needs work;- no seats, windscreen broken, badly painted, generally very dirty, and of course no engine. Steering is there but it is seized and I doubt it can be freed. On the plus side, it seems generally solid and it was left nose down for a while (so it didn’t drain) and it filled with water in so it would appear to be watertight. And it is a Shakespeare, a proper classic British speed boat – it measures about 14 feet long, I think its a Sportsman as it doesn’t have the flat front of the later Clubman, which means it’s probably early 1970s. I don’t know the exact year. The trailer is quite good, it towed ok when I brought it out of storage and the boat sits on it fine. The tyres are fairly recent, as are the wheels. It has a good winch too. Should be ok to tow away – you’ll need to bring a trailer board and a strap for the back (I’ll leave the one on the front).Contact via eBay if you want to come and see it before bidding – but you bid to buy. And I won’t sell trailer without boat so don’t ask (the other way round I would do – if anyone actually wants a boat without trailer they can have it)Cash on collection only from Liversedge, West Yorkshire.
