Classic Starcraft Jetstream V 1972 aluminium speed boat with a Parsun 25hp electric trim and tilt outboard with hydrofoils fitted, engine has just 6hrs use, 4 more hours until fully run in.
Hull has been recently resprayed by a professional and is in perfect condition, no repairs or damage anywhere, like new. Engine was bought with just 6hrs running time, it needs 4 more hours to be fully run in.. The person I bought the engine from had purchased it brand new from a Parsun dealer in North Wales, I have the original paperwork somewhere. He was meticulous with the run in procedure, fitting an external RPM and Temp gauge to make sure he kept within specs at all times. I have removed these but will include them with the boat.
The boat beautifully constructed with neat rivets and all aluminium, the ply floor has been replaced recently with a new carpet and I had a custom aluminium panel made and fitted to the area where you enter and exit the boat as it flexed slightly.
It has new seating, new wiring, new LED bulbs in the original classic fittings, new Yuasa battery and battery box correctly fitted in place, new battery terminals, two new expanding drain plugs (one spare), new fuel tank that came with the engine, brand new Parsun remote control cables as my boat was longer than the previous boat the engine was run in on, brand new steering cables and hardware, new all over cover.
The boat has all its original 1972 fittings including navigation lights, mooring cleats, manufacturers name and data plate, steering wheel, boarding protectors, rubbing strakes, dash and side vinyl etc – its a real classic time capsule that would do well at classic motor boat events as well as being very practical for everyday use. The original USA registration number were retained during the respray because they looked so cool and original.
The trailer is steel and has two new tyres and a new jocky wheel assembly. There is a previous weld that is ugly but functional and it has some rust areas, but it tows nicely.
Since all this work was done I haven’t even run the engine or launched the boat, so its all ready for its new owner. Engine comes with the original set of Parsun service items (oil filter/impeller/spark plug) as well as the emergency backup start cord.
It has an all over cover and is totally dry inside.
I have the paperwork for the engine somewhere, I will dig it out asap.
I’ve just bought a 1936 classic yacht and that’s the only, very reluctant, reason I’m selling this classic speed boat which I’m very fond of.
